SWINE MARKET BARROW IDENTIFICATION (TAGGING) NO WEIGH-INS FOR SWINE PROJECT
(complying with State of Wisconsin ban on Swine weigh-ins)

Exhibitors wishing to exhibit at the 2014 Fair will need to self-identify their animals with an official tag (you can pick it up at UW-Extension Office).  Please make sure you have your projects tagged and paperwork turned into UW-Extension Office by May 1st.  (Taggers can be purchased at Johnson’s One Stop.  Taggers are unable to be shared this year.)

2014 CRAWFORD COUNTY SWINE SHOW WILL BE A TERMINAL SHOW
Which means NOTHING goes home! ALL PIGS WILL GO TO SLAGHTER.  Once the pig arrives at the Crawford County Fair you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE PIG HOME FOR ANY REASON.  The pig will need to go to locker or to livestock market.

Beef Exhibitor,

The Beef Weigh-in for the fair will be on January 4, 2014 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at Southwest Veterinary Services in Prairie du Chien. By participating in the weigh-in your steer will be eligible for the rate of gain contest.

All animals that are brought to the weigh-in will be tagged for the 2014 fair.

All animals you plan on exhibiting at the County Fair need to be tagged by May 1, 2014.

Also, Larry Stulka, Beef Project Leader will do a short presentation and answer questions during the beef weigh-in about nutrition, worming and halter breaking.
